The story of Hi-Con starts at Aalborg Portland - a company with great traditions as cement producer in Aalborg and a company that gave rise to many other companies such as Densit, Cembrit and of course Hi-Con back in 2001. In 2008 Hi-Con was sold to the current owner, Jysk Fynsk Kapital, and in 2009 the new management at Hi-Con introduced a new strategy to make the company less sensitive to the economic cycle.
Today Hi-Con has grown from a local and national producer of elements in high performance concrete to an international company that consists of 70 employees in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands and Finland. Hi-Con is nolonger just a production company, but has moved towards selling knowledge and solution and now employs both academics, technical assistants, unskilled workers and skilled workers. The core activity of the company is to be innovative and sell solutions and knowledge about high performance concrete.
